URBAN RESTRUCTURING in ROTTERDAM with Isabel Martín
The city of Rotterdam aimed at turning the industrial port into a more urban and suburban area. This proposal tries to link this area to the city centre through a bridge and to the downfallen neighborhood of Delfshaven by promoting the vertical axis of the streets. Two new canals are made to get a closer relation with water, which allow all houses to have a wall facing the canal and another one to the street. This canal is also in charge of joining a series of equipments to bring the neighborhood to completion.
