Carrie's War by Nina Bawden
The brief for the childrens book to illustrate a front and back cover was Carrie's War by Nina Bawden. I chose this because I read the book as a child and seen the adapatations of the book.
The brief required the designer to design a front , back and spine cover. There were many passages that could be illustrated to lure the reader to read the book.
Below are four final designs that I illustrated before I chose the final design to submit to the competition.
Additionally not included in the brief that I undertook, I illustrated two passages from inside the book to accompany the text.
