As the story goes, this piece started out as sort of a collage with a coffee theme to it...but the more I worked on it the more it evolved...mutated if you will into the current visual you see.
So this painting also made me realize that I'm not so much a collage artist as I thought I was and the lovely wallpaper patterns that I've collect for so many years must now be thrown away. I used several pieces of wallpaper in this an they are all but hidden under layers of paint. *sigh*
