Food Trucks Amuck was a book I created for my Communication Design Fundamentals class in Spring 2013. The focus of this assignment was to create a print book of our own original content, text and pictures, and to design all of the spreads. 

 

The first big challenge of this project was thinking of a topic! A small handful of my classmates were turning their own pieces of writing into books while others were making food or travel guides. After a bit of thought, I decided that I wanted to create a book that combined two of my favorite things: Food and New York City. I tried a lot of different color schemes and variations that would compliment the information presented on the opposite page.

 

 

The final book was divided up in to sections: "Savory" and "Sweet". It featured profiles for six different food trucks complete with a brief history, a sampling of their menus, and frequented locations.
