I listened to Marc Alexandre’s EP and spoke with him about his goals for this EP, together we put together a strategy. The album had to feature Marc but stand out from the many other covers that featured other artist’s “headshots on a beach”. After listening to the album, I noticed two things about Marc’s music: There was a futuristic sound and the songs were very different, like different parts of his personality were revealed in each song. Building on this theme I made a look that referenced the technology used to print the CD. Interior photos build on the theme and Marc Alexandre is revealed, not distorted, when the CD is removed from the tray.
