New Yorker Inside Out (Map Painting)

I absolutely have loved Spider-Man for as long as I can remember. I even remember enjoying reruns of "Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends" from the 80s. Like much of the Marvel Universe, New York City is the epicenter and I had a lot of fun digitally painting Spider-Man with low opacity over a New York City topographical map so that within his face and body was the city he sacrifices to protect.

Also within the left eye (right facing) the body of water and the streets almost make it look like Doctor Octopus is reflected holding a victim.

I initially tried this with the comic style but found the painting to get muddled with his details, so then I used the movie version (Spider-Man 2) as a visual reference/template to build from the style as I digitally painted within Photoshop.
