This series, Crenon, is an attempt to look at our perception of the natural world in general terms. As humans, we have an enduring love-hate relationship with nature, simultaneously revering it as a place to go and "recharge our batteries" and escape the daily grind, as well as a source of materials to be exploited.
I wanted to create paintings that were meditative and contemplative, that would cause the viewer to pause for a minute or two and be engulfed into the artwork.
