Ergonomic Handle Concept
The humble wheelbarrow was explored for improvement in functionality and aesthetic appeal; and styled to suit the Fiskars brand and it’s consumers. One feature of the wheelbarrow is the 3-position handles, providing ergonomic and comfortable use during lifting, carrying, pushing and tipping of the 'barrow.
The concept features a unique handle design that improves comfort and ease of use; and takes into account the different stages in wheelbarrow use - lifting, transporting (on different terrain e.g uphill) and tipping.
Sketching, looking into how strength and other functional aspects can be embedded into the aesthetic treatment
The wheelbarrow features design cues prominent on existing Fiskars products - such as elegant curves, well thought-out details; and of course bright orange accents.
