In Forma di Pane (In Shape of Bread) – An anthropological exhibition that accompanies the art show Pane al Pane.
In our country, the word ‘bread’ describes countless varieties of shapes and bodies closely linked to the history and culture of the area where it was produced. The exhibit presents the most representative products of the Italian regions, highlighting the historical and cultural ties with the places of origin.
The show also hosted the conference Sardinian Ritualistic Breads, with a workshop held by Graziella Pisu, and the conference The Daily Tao, held by the Chinese artist Diana Lomeihing, about Tao in food, medicine and painting in China.
Pane al Pane (Bread to Bread) – This show, the sixth round of the initiative Non di Solo Pane, and the first in 2015, deals with original work about the eternal relationship between body and soul, and between matter and spirit. In a context such as present times, where the ethics and values of reference of the generations that preceded us have changed, art has the duty to communicate the discomfort of such change, and the responsibility to convey the disorientation that the new introduces in everyday life. Art offers us opportunities for reflection, reaffirms certainties, and helps us understand who we are and, most importantly, what we want to become.
The initiative was attended by the following artists:
ALVARO / MAX BOTTINO / LEONILDE CARABBA / FRANCESCO CERIANI / CHEN LI / SIMONETTA CHIERICI / ANGELA CORTI / FEDERICA FERZOCO / ANNAMARIA GELMI / PAOLO GRECO / GRUPPO 32 / LALLA LUSSU / CAMILLA MARINONI / ANNALISA MITRANO / IDA ROSA SCOTTI / ALESSANDRA SERRA / MARCELLO SÈSTITO / MONICA SORI / ROBERTO STANICH / MARCO TANCREDI / EMANUELA VOLPE
