On the tips of a butterfly's wings #5

As children, many of us collected butterflies, caterpillars and bugs. They created a sense of wonder and reminded us of the creatures in Alice in Wonderland. In this microscopic interpretation of the scales and shapes that make up the wings of a butterfly, I aim to re-capture the magic and wonder in something as simple as a common butterfly. Stand back and view with childs’ eyes...
One in a series of 12 original prints, each print has either a colour variation or different configuration of butterflies.
This print was exhibited in the macro/micro exhibition for the Capricornia Printmakers in October 2014.
