I felt that the vessel were a little too light and it may compromise the balance of the vessels. To resolve this, I poured Jesmonite in the base of the vessel to provide weight and to cover any creases or metal. However there were some vessel where I felt it would not be suitable. I used my own judgement to discern whether to apply this step for each vessel.
To finish off, I lightly sanded the vessels that required smoothing with a random orbit hand sander (with a sponge interface that allows the sander to gently mould around the vessel).
