ISANA is the store brand of a wellknown German drugstore chain. For the relaunch of their children's range, the agency I work for was invited to join a pitch. The objective was to create a more modern image that would appeal more to the target audience (boys and girls aged 3 to 12).
 
Because of its popularity among the target audience, I designed the characters in a manga style. This style also allowed the characters to 'age'. Certain products, for instance the Badeperlen (bath pearls) are specifically aimed at younger children and needed to show younger, cuter characters than the shampoo for girls or the 2-in-1 shower gel for the boys.
 
All in all, the new design is colorful and eye catching and clearly sets itself apart from competitors through bright colors, big illustrations and bold lettering.
