I created this video for my Convergent Media class as a reflection of an idea I've had mulling around in my head for years now; the origin of songs. As more and more artist borrow (and steal in certain cases) from musicians before them, I think it's imperative to give credit to those who were originals. From the early beginnings of Leadbelly's blues to the futuristic waves of Daft Punk, this video takes you through it all, fortifying the strength in innovation and unconventionality.
