The Monstri are an alien race or my own imagination. They seem at first glance to be just another insectoid race but there more to them than that. I had made them as a metaphor of "the dangers of fighting fear." Their appearance is based from lizards and other animals. Their space craft  is based on sea creatures such as giant squids and whales, along with various dinosaurs such as the stegosaurus and the raptor. They have been redrawn in adobe Illustrator and Corel Painter. I gave scrapes on the shells to make the hunter and brute more battle worn. I added blood to make the stalker more nightmarish. I also did a Cinema 4D version as well.
