For this little project I was inspired by the film Akira, namely the character Tetsuo, and Bernini's sculpture of Medusa. I happened to see both within the same time frame and decided to combine the two creatively.

I like to draw as much detail as possible before transferring it onto Photoshop—makes it easier on me later on because I have less drawing to do on Photoshop.
Then I can get right onto coloring!

The palette I used is from a screencap from the movie. So, I mostly used the same colors from the scene where the character Tetsuo undergoes his horrifying mutation. I wanted to keep it connected to the film as much as possible.
