Photographic Retouching, Cancer Research UK

This project was to accompany the launch of the new Cancer Research Logo in 2012 using cancer survivors positioned similar to the layout of the new logo.
The project was directed by Interbrand and photographed by Ranald Mackechnie, all links at the foot of the page

Please don't reproduce any of the images without my permission beforehand please, contact me if you require any more info.
Finished Image
A whole load of images were taken from overhead in the studio using a dozen people (I can't find any of the originals ....). We very roughly cut them out and sent them to the agency who gave us an original idea of who to put where.
Below: Initial Working Layout
Each figure was cut out and I recreated some shadows to follow the intended direction of the light, some of the figures were rotated, so we could not use the original shadows

Below: The layout with all the masks removed
Although all our models were wearing clothing that reflected the logo colours, we played around with the colours of individual clothing to avoid repitition.
