Annual Report Design – Facing Change
for the General Audit Department

This annual report was designed and created for the General Audit department at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan. As auditors, they wanted to the report to help enhance their image, as their profession can be viewed as intimidating and scary. I personally met with the team and conducted a few team exercises with them to include them in the problem-solving process, to help extract and manage their expectations and clarify goals about how to portray their image in this report.

Once a direction was set, I paid close attention to the art direction of the photography to put a more realistic and dimensional face to their department and to their clients who helped define first-hand experiences of being audited.

A softer, unexpected color palette of burgundy and gray was used as a wink to the accounting terms "in the black" and "in the red."
