"The work life demands diverse expertise and the ability to work in multidisciplinary teams. Metropolia’s Elective Modules offer the students the opportunity to acquire additional know-how suitable for their degrees. In the Learning Track curriculum the student has the opportunity to supplement their own professional competence by taking advantage of Metropolia’s wide and multidisciplinary selection of studies."
The task of this project was to inform and market the new possibility for Metropolia students to broaden their studies. As the graphic designer I was responsible of the overall look, feel and style of the entire project from illustrations to brochures, posters and web design. I wanted to create a youtful, fun look with some edge, so I chose to work in collage with some grungy and geometrical touches. The illustrations' photographs are a mix of old magazines and old masterpieces from Leonardo da Vinci's Mona Lisa to the Creation of Adam by Michelangelo - symbolizing the balance between old and new with an emphasis on multidisclipinary learning like such of the old master painters.
