"Ladakh ("land of high passes") (Ladakhi: ལ་དྭགས la'dwags; Hindi: लद्दाख़ ; Urdu: لَدّاخ‎) is a region in Jammu and Kashmir that currently extended from the Kuen Lun mountain range to the main Great Himalayas to the south, inhabited by people of Indo-Aryan and Tibetan descent. It is one of the most sparsely populated regions in Jammu and Kashmir and its culture and history are closely related to that of Tibet."

During my holidays I spend 20 days in India, most of the time in Ladakh, the very north of India.
There I joined on the 26th of August 2015 a group of 10 vivid and unbelievably kind women from Germany for a Trekking Tour from Likir to the small village Ang.

27th of August

On our second day of trekking we hiked after breakfast from our camp in Likir over the one or other steap mountain to the town Yangthang. We arrived there in the afternoon where we found some time to rest since the hiking was quite exhausting. In the evening the group decided to do some yoga on the from the moon illuminated camping ground.
