Artist Statement
When I first saw the trigger I imagined that the train would continue on in both direactions. I imagined buildings in the background and also in the reflections of the windows. I chose to place the trigger generally in the center of the page because it would be easier to show that it is a train, and I would be able to have more of a background than I would have had if it was placed farther to the right side of the page. The elements that I continued from the trigger was the whole thing because the trigger was quite thin and tall, so I just continued the train in both directions. I added a sidewalk/train platform to the bottom of the page and the universe to the top, including quite realistic planets because of my huge interest and love for space, and I added building reflections to some of the windows and devil's traps to some of the others because of my love for Supernatural. I think that I could've taken more risks with my work, but did take some with the shading on the train and planets because I don't usually enjoy doing that, or think that I'm any good at it. Overall I think that my work turned out very well and blended into the trigger photo very nicely.
