Santa and his reideer appear on the latest children's book I've illustrated. It's not easy to "work" with characters that have been drawn countless times. But as always, it all begins with a sketchbook and a pencil.

Looking a bit more like himself with a bit of colour....

And Santa is finally ready for Christmas!

And then there were the reindeer... 8 of them. Actually, 9! We must not forget about Rudolph and his red nose. 

It all started pretty much the same way, with a little pencil sketch.

And then there were 8

They were happy to see the colouring pencils...

There were several sleigh sketches...

It's looking like it's going to be a "good" Christmas for everyone.
