MATERIAL EXPLORATION
This course was about a series of encounters with different materials on which multiple operations were performed respectively. It was an incredible experience to handle the various kinds of materials one after another and bring out our own imagination through their form and functionality.

HIPS (High Impact Polystyrene) sheet modified through heat forming and vacuum forming.

Wooden block (Birch wood) modelled through turning process in Lathe machine.

Metal (aluminium) sheet hammered, polished and bent to develop desirable product.

A combination of different fabrics assimilated through electronic sewing machine.

Papers of various textures and thicknesses modified into multiple shapes and forms and materialized into product.

FORM STUDIES
The task was to execute radii manipulation on 2-Dimensional as well as 3-Dimensional forms. The 2D shapes were derived from random combination of basic shapes like circle, triangle and rectangle whereas the 3D forms were derived from compostion of 3 cubes/cuboids arranged inside a larger cube.
Radii manipulation of 2D forms were explored on paper and implemented on MDF (Medium Density Fiber) sheet.

Radii manipulation of 3D forms were explored on composition of 3 cuboids inside a larger cube and implemented on Siporex.
