I chose a circle to represent a wagon wheel or a wheel of the food truck. I wanted to keep the logo simple.  I chose these colors that represent hunger and also the color of the waffle. I chose the tan to represent the top canvas of a wagon. I chose the western font because its on the side of the trucks and has been used before. With some more work  would feel comfortable using the logo. I used the checkerboard to signify the waffle shape. The bottom also represents the bottom of the wagon. Waffle wagon doesnt currently have a logo.
This is a new logo where i made sure the lines and boxes were straight and changed the colors to be a little more subtle. I dropped the EST 2014 to make the logo more balanced.I kept the same overall design but fixed a few things like the shape to mske it more circular.

This is the final logo I made. I like it the most because its open. The checkering represents the waffle but also the streets here in utah with the grid like fashion. Being a food truck I thought this was fitting. this made the font look better and a little more distressed. This logo I feel is simple and easy to distinguish. It would provide great contrast to many different backgrounds that it is placed against. The lettering is still very central to the overall design and I feel it is much more balanced without the awkward colors. The coloring made it feel too top  heavy.
I used this first letterhead made. I wanted to keep it simple and clean. I used the 2nd logo that i made and this is when i realized that I needed to fix the logo completely and get rid of the colors. The logo just looked awkward against the wood background. The contrast I felt was awful.
This is an updated envelope for Waffle Wagon. I removed the logo to go with something more simple and used the white lettering to make the font pop. I think this looks more professional than the first. I like the white and used the Go 2 Western font to keep continuity. This to me has a overall cleaner look an feel to it. I left the bottom right corner clean for the barcode.

This is the first business card I created. I wanted to keep it simple and easy to read. altered the orginal logo to make it fit the black format. This card to me felt like there was no contrasting elements to it. The basics I felt like were there but it needed help.
I updated the business card. I changed the font color from black to white to add contrast not only from the background but also the social media logos and the Waffle Wagon logo. I feel like this ads contrast and emphasis onto the phone number and the social media handles. I added the white background so the QR code would actually work. I think this business card looks better. I have seen business cards printed on thin pieces of wood and this possibly an option for Waffle Wagon. I used the wood background for repetition to fit the overall brand mold.
This is my first twitter header. It left a lot to be desired. The awkward white space really had no meaning or value and needed to be changed. The instagram photo also needed to be removed.
I cropped the photo to better fit the area a wanted and bring more emphasis to the three cowboys. I also got rid of the waffle wagon photo and also the white space. I think this looks a lot better. I eliminated the awkward white space from the original and it turned out better. I used the woodgrain to show more repittition throught the social media platforms. I tried to align the cowboys so they were not blocked by the logo while displayed as the header. The cowboys are placed in the middle for  more of a subtle emphasis. I used the waffle logo hashmark for continuity branding.

This will be my logo I will use for accross all social media platforms. I used the modified open logo against the woodgrain background. This shows continuity throughout the whole branding process. I like the black lettering of the logo that contrasts with the wood backround very well.
This is the Fackbook header. I think this one turned out really well. I wanted it on the right hand side so it looked good through the mobile version. I wanted the actual waffle to be the focal point. I wanted to use the color picture because it added a nice contrast to the dull wood background. I feel like it ads a great deal of emphasis to the waffle itself. I used the waffle hashmarks for repitition of the brand. The overall design it very simular to the twitter header. I believe that this helps with overall continuity of the overall branding.
This is the first letterhead I created. I tried using some design elements from the logo. I used the logo for repetition. I added the waffle checkering on the right side for balance.
This is a sample letterhead with font used to show an example. as you can see here the actual script is awkward.
This is a updated letterhead. I adjusted the top portion of the letterhead to allow for more room for the actual script. I also made the logo more of a watermark with my updated logo. I think this makes the letterhead more functionable and clean. I like the overall look better.

I made more changes to the letterhead that makes it even easier for printing. I changed up the secondary font so its easier the read and provides a better contrast betwwen its and the Waffle Wagon font. The secondary font I used is Los Banditos. I think this is better fro readabilty. I kept the physical address on the left hand side and move the electronic information to the right. While doing this I feel like the letterhead is more balanced.
I wanted to mimic an old western wanted poster. I chose this because it goes well with the western wagon them. These posters are simple and easy read at a quick glance. The posters are very centralized and involve a photo of the outlaw. I did some research and look at tons of different ideas so I could get a better feel of the design elements being used. I wanted to leave out the reward price that is consistent with many of the old ads because the eventually idea is that the waffle itself would be the reward.
This is an updated version of my color ad. I changed a lot of things the spacing was one of them. It was very difficult to read and I went back to doing more research of old west wanted posters. I wanted to make the ad easier to read for obvious reasons and i made it more centralized. I added the white backround so it was easier to read and made actual sense of beeing a wanted poster. I added variety by using a few different old west fonts. i think it turned out good and i am getting noticably better. I went back to back and white for readbilty and it also made the picture of the waffle pop more. I used the logo and kept it central to the overall work eventually the flow leads to the logo.
I felt like the logo on the bottom had quite a bit of tension being so close to the bottom of the page and need to change some design elements. I swapped out the text for social media logos. I felt like this added more contrast to the overall piece especially the other text. It looks a lot cleaner and not so cramped. I changed the decription woring some. I made the words more central to follow suit just like the old west wanted ads. I changed the font of the specialty waffle. This added to the readbilty of the words. I love the contrast between the fonts. It helps the eye follow straight down the center of the ad. This ad is more simple and can be a quick read even at a glance. The picture of the waffle ads such a ggod contrast being in color and makes me want one even though I have had a million of them. I put the showdown in quotations because just like the old west ads they would put the ouwlaws nickname in quotations like "Billy the Kid" or the "The Sundance Kid."
This is an edit from the orginal it still is a work in progress but is much better than the original. I changed the ad to be more central just like the old western wanted poster. I changed the font to ad varitity to the ad. It works with the black and white and is a lot easier to read.
I made changes to this ad due to the tension of the lettering to the ad. It was too close the the edge and the picture. I kept the ad very central just like the old western ads. The first thing I notice with this ad is the "wanted" and the picture of the waffle. The flow of this ad is very centralized leading the eye from the wanted to the waffle right to the logo. The notes on the side are are balanced and are if the viewer wants to dive deeper into the ad. I added empahasis to specialty and the $5. This provides the potential customer to want to find more and to search out the social media pages and the website. The idea is that this waffle is wanted and we can be found on social media. The decription was reworded and reworked to get rid of the widow. I tweaked the leading tp make it feel balanced withthe other side. The social media icons are easily recognized. I used the logos because it ads more contrast that just more words on the ad. I didn't want the ad to be to wordy. In the case of the logos I felt like less was defintely more. The socail media logos and the Waffle wagon logo with the website are all aligned leading the eye from the social media to the waffle wagon logo and then on to the website. I feel like this fits what i was trying to mimick with the original wanted posters so much better. When i look at this ad I finally have the feeling that "it just looks right."
