King Lear- Costume Technician

As a Costume Technician in Liberty University Department of Theatre Arts' production of King Lear, it was my resposibility to create several unique pieces with a variety of materials. I used Leather, Synthetic fur, and various heavyweight textiles to create the looks that the costume designer, Kathy Jordan, requested. Pictured below are photos of the production.

For Goneril's dress I produced a full-length gown from tapestry-weight fabric as well as an overlying bodice.

This Guy's design required a beige and brown striped vest. I created this with leather and added a fur cape with buttons on the shoulders.

Before the fool progresses into insanity, he wears a fitted leather vest with green leather trim and cap sleeves.

For the Earl of Kent, I built a leather cape with beige trim. The trim is another leather topstitched on.
