About the Revival#1
Over the course of history, China has amassed a vast reservoir of culture and knowledge spanning numerous years, leaving a profound impact on the world. Yet, as China's development surges on a global level, certain facets of this magnificent civilization have started to wane, causing the loss of cherished traditions and a diminishing of its rich heritage.
With the aim of shedding light on these matters, The Revival#1 endeavors to showcase a series of art installations, with the intention of capturing public attention. Moving forward, the Revival series will delve into other themes and subjects pertaining to China's history and its contemporary landscape, crafting them into compelling art installations that explore their significance.

As an integral part of the Revival#1 series, Streak Artefact utilises ten genuine Chinese antique vases to underscore the significance of preserving our historical knowledge and its relevance in modern society. These vases are ingeniously positioned on rotating platforms, enabling viewers to engage with the subject matter through a dynamic response. As observers approach the vases, they are immersed in a captivating experience that combines light and sound.
Through the application of a translucent glaze and the placement of small ultraviolet LED lights on the vase's surface, a remarkable effect is achieved. When the ultraviolet light interacts with the glaze, it triggers a mesmerizing glow. As the platform continues to rotate, a radiant line of light encircles the vase, creating an illusion as though the light is etching the underlying pattern, simultaneously infusing a contemporary ambiance. The glow gradually diminishes as the vase moves away from the light source. This continuous interplay of emerging and fading light serves as a visual representation of our ability to continually reinvent ideas through the lens of our past, even as time progresses.
Furthermore, during the exhibition, guests were provided with ultraviolet pens, enabling them to actively participate in the installation by "drawing" onto the vases. This interactive element empowers participants to become an integral part of the artistic experience.
