GRADATION
A sculpture on the idea of gradation: 1, 1+1, 1+1+1, 1+1+1+1... 
It was a project to create "a human-scale sculpture" in Sculpture class at Duke in 2012.
 
I am captivated by the underlying principle of Lego:  each unit can form shapes only when it builds on and through other units. This work is an exploration of unit, and how the same principle can be applied to units other than LEGO pieces to build a human-scale sculpture.
