The Red Thistle (2015)
Newspaper / 12" x 22.75"

This particular issue of The Red Thistle contains the story of Macbeth, one of the most tragic Shakespeare's plays. The themes of the newspaper evolve around the death of Macbeth, the crowning of Malcolm, and the persue of the three witches. The Red Thistle is set in Medieval Scotland, therefore only black letter and serif typefaces are used, and the name - The Red Thistle - comes from the symbol of Scotland (a Thistle) and the bloodshed throughout Macbeth.
