HERO WORSHIP
In 2013 when I was a BFA student of Fine Art, I had a solo exhibition titled ‘Hero Worship’, based on Pakistani cricket heroes at T2F (The Second Floor) in Karachi, curated by Raania Durrani. The experience really educated me about our country’s cricketing achievements and allowed me to uninhibitedly portray our heroes in a creative way.
It was widely covered by the media and social media, along with appreciation from cricket fans, writers and enthusiasts.

This portrait merged his two avatars; Imran Khan the cricketer in a high-power pose, mid-game, and Imran Khan the politician with blue hair, reflecting his party's slogan that stated it would take over Pakistan 'like a tsunami'.
