THE BRIEF:

To open up the Royal Collection and surrounding activity both digitally and physically generating interest and bringing new audiences to the collection, whilst maintaining the traditional appreance and feel of the historic sights.

THE INSIGHT:

Having visted some of the Royal Collection sites it became clear that there is a severe lack of digital stimulation as well as a lack of general and interesting information avaliable to visitors. Using the digital platform both of these issues could be resolved, information can be passed on in a fun, fast and stimulating way.

THE SOLUTIONS:

THE WATERLOO CHAMBER

This is a room in Windsor Castle that is filled with portraits that depict the battle of Waterloo, each portrait has a story that the visitor is unaware of, a fun way to tell these storys and pass on this information would be by using augmented reality app Blippar.
When this image is scanned with a smart phone or tablet usinh Blippar technology these paintings come to life to tell the story of the battle of waterloo.

Interactive mirrors allow visitors to get involved and try on outfits and weaponary from diffrent periods in British history. This is also something that has a shareability factor which will ensure more people hear about and are intrigued by the Royal Collection.

INTERACTIVE BUST:
Busts have been a part of historic art since time began and often give us insights into past rulers of our relm. The Royal Collection Is an eclectic assortment of objects bought by past monarchs and some of the most interesting stories lye in why the monarchs choose certain things. Projection mapping is an impressive and exciting way to tell these stories.
Historical figures come to life using projection mapping.
