1. Sketched the hand lettered message onto watercolour paper and covered in white masking fluid (to protect the white paper beneath it)

2. Did a wet watercolour wash over the top, adding in blobs of pink to create high contrast against the blue tones

3. Once dry, I peeled the masking fluid off to reveal the white letters beneath and gel lined some highlights to add futher depth to the letters

4. Added sticky pads to the bottom of the design (to create a shadow when stuck to the front of the card) and embellished with gems in complementary colours

5. Gel inked snowflakes to the surrounding white space...and VOILA!
