KYTE furniture for sitting cross-legged

KYTE is a piece of furtniture made of molded oak plywood
The large bent surfaces in the front allow the user's feet to stay aligned with their shins, making the position a bit more comfortable. Using the flexibilty and the curvature of the rear leg, the seat allows the user to lean sideways without losing satbility. KYTE is aimed for younger people: children, teenagers or young adults, for playing video games, watching TV, and other activities.
Process
Prototype No.2 in beech and american walnut veneer, with glossy lacquer finish
Optimized shape for a better fit for the users body.
This project was done at Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design Budapest in 2015 for Plydesign Ltd.
