Lucky Chair
I was assigned to design a chair with robust shape, ergonomic, multifunctional and competitive in the market also with components easy to produce and assemble making a cost-effective product.
With the accessories like the arms, the upholstery cover, casters and mechanisms we can assemble 18 different versions make it commercially wise, initially presented in 5 different colors adding more possibilities to the product. Launched in Mexico in February 2016.
Virgola Kit
Versatility has a very important role when manufacturing and designing a product, the chair ISO its a standard and top-selling chair in the company but it was time to make something new, adapting the frame to a new set of seat and back named Virgola. The ergonomic backrest covers entirely the steel frame giving a solid aesthetic, the back has square dimensional texture that consolidates the geometrical look of the chair, another important improvement is that it doesn’t need screws or fasteners to assembly the components, thanks to the rib design under the seat that snaps and secures backrest and seat  to the frame at the same time, by doing this the chair is more cost-effective to our customers (distributors) are saving time and resources in the assembly, the seat can be also used with the back called “Filo” which makes the chair more versatil.
With the Virgola Kit we were providing another option to the market and commercial partners to combined their standard frames with the new kit , also combining our Diplo caps for the legs and the set of arms RZ1.
Aviator Seat
I was assigned to design a  seat that completed the kit for 2 of the new backrest (RZ1 and Steel) the backrest "Steel" already had a steel frame using 7/8" rounded tube and the backrest "RZ1" was designed to assemble with a 1" rounded steel tube, so it was quite a challenge, the shape is simple but ergonomic and it has a perforation for water drain, extra material for the upholstery attachment but the most important aesthetic fact is that it covers the steel crossbars when assembled to the frame.
Vela Arm
Having components from Italy, China with Mexico national production can be hard, the task was to design an aesthetic and affordable option of armrest produced in our facility that can be assembled with 3 of the most selling seats for operative chairs, the shape is simple and geometrical something new in our armrest catalog and the oval perforations allow to adjust the assembly according to the type of seat and mechanism.
Diplo Leg Cap
Sometimes simple things are great solutions and that is the case for Diplo cap, some of the chairs have static and caster version, the caster version was achieved by adding a 90 degrees bent to the back leg and then putting an insert inside the 4 legs to secure the casters, with the Diplo cap we find a solution to have just 1 frame for the static and caster version of the chair, the Diplo cap was produced to work with 7/8" and 1" rounded tube frames.
RZ1 Arm
This arm was designed to complete the arm version of the new models RZ1, Lucky and Virgola, we designed something simple, easy to assemble and functional that could be combined with the 3 very different chairs.
