This is the new poster for Fallas 2016, commissioned by the Media Department of Mislata’s City Hall.

 

I considered several ideas and finally chose this one although I did not know if I could do it well because it was complex.

 

It was necessary to do something different and try to transmit as much as possible what Fallas means. I chose to show a lot of people together at the moment of the “cremá”,  watching how the Falla burns, their faces lit by the flames, enjoying one of the most moving, spectacular and exciting moments of Fallas. People of different races, sexes and ages, enjoying one of the most moving and spectacular moments of Fallas.

 

I think this shows Fallas, from another point of view. It shows the people and reflects their emotion. It is different from the typical Fallas poster. Finally, since I had to include text and the logo of the City Hall, l added some blue lines for the “senyera” the Valencia flag, blending them in.  

 

I think printed full size, 175 x 120 cm it is going to look great.

Este es el Nuevo cartel para las fiestas de Fallas 2016 que me ha encargado el departamento de Comunicación del Ayuntamiento de Mislata.

Barajé varias ideas. Finalmente escogí ésta aunque no estaba seguro de poderlo realizar bien porque era compleja.

Se trataba de hacer algo diferente y, como siempre, intentar transmitir lo más posible lo que es la fiesta. Opté por mostrar muchas personas juntas en el momento de "la cremà",  sus caras iluminadas por el fuego mientras miran cómo se quema el monumento de la falla. Gente de distintas razas, sexos y edades disfrutando de uno de los momentos más emotivos y espectaculares de la fiesta de las fallas.

 

Creo que refleja, desde otro punto distinto, la fiesta. Muestra el pueblo, la gente y refleja su sentimiento. Es diferente al típico cartel de fallas. Al final, como debía incluir las letras y el logotipo del Ayuntamiento, puse unas líneas de color azul por la "senyera", la bandera valenciana, haciendo un degradado,

 

Creo que en grande, 175cm x 120cm, va a ser impresionante.
