Senior Final Undergraduate Project: Passion is Everything
This is the culmination of my work for my Senior Graphic Design project called Passion is Everything. This included the Passionate Gamechangers Series posters which centered around 6 players and an event. The idea was for my Senior show to be interactive and engage the viewer in the graphic design. By having an event I engaged the community and by showing a video of the event I brought the viewers "to the event" to interact with not only the community but the graphic design.

This is video made by Justin Klein of the event that I created for my Senior Project: Passion is Everything. This is a video of the event that I put on for the kids. The idea was to make it something like a "celebrity event" with Buena Vista University(BVU) players helping run the event. Players that were in my show and part of my project helped coach the kids and at the end, kids could get the players authographs. This would be an ideal mock up for promotion for the mens and womens soccer teams at BVU.

This is the promotional poster that I designed and put up around the school. I decided to make it highly contrasting colors because I wanted to catch parents as well as kids eyes. The 6 colors that I used also were incorporated into my project. With placing the information at the bottom I hoped to make the information simple and easy to understand. By using different colors of text I helped highlight important information.
This is the form that I sent out to parents to get kids to sign up for my event. I collaborated with a woman in the school system that sent them out with the kids through school. I had some restrictions here since I wanted to send a lot of them out but I didn't want to have to pay for color printing I made it simplie in color and allowed for the yellow to be printed in grey. The form is simple so that it makes it easy to fill out for the parent. It was also translated to spanish to make it a double sided print. This form allowed for people to return the form and gave me simple feedback so that I knew how many kids to plan for.
I wanted to make small reminders that my show was going up so that people on Buena Vista University's campus would come and see it. This was the invitation that I sent out to the campus. Faculty and Staff as well as students that I specifically invited had personalized invitations. I brought different elements into this invitation that are a part of my show as an entirity. The net in the background is part of the poster series and the colors are part of the series as well. My logo is also shown on the bottom right corner which was on all my pieces to create a series feel. Simple is always better and this simply states information that you would need to know if you wanted to come to my senior show.
This is my promotional poster. I wanted to bring in a different element but still try and explain a little about my show. The names in the background are the players that were in my show. The 6 words that are displayed are all strong words that describe each player. Colors are in relation to each individual as well as each font. This was to try and get people's interest but also to keep them curious. I wanted them to WANT to come to the show wondering what they will see about these 6 words and 6 individuals. Information is stated on the bottom of the poster and in white which was to try and isolate important information.
