Zoetic is a quarterly magazine, created with artists in mind, focusing not just on their art but also on the person behind it. Based in San Francisco, this focuses on bay area artists, as a way to spread the word on who is creating new art as well as the thought and passion that goes into each new piece.
For this design, I drew a lot of inspiration from other art magazines like Juxtapoz and Kinfolk, as well as from the people who inspired the creation of this magazine. While Kinfolk and Juxtapoz are definitely aesthetically different, I drew from different aspects of both.
Above is a sample of the typeface used in the creation of the masthead, Sullivan by Jason Mark Jones.

And finally below are examples of from the iteratios the cover had gone through as well as other typefaces I had explored to potentially make into the masthead.
