A rare and magical moment occurred on Egret Lake
About 50 or so Pelicans filled the lake that sets in my backyard. It's not uncommon to see all sorts of wildlife come and go from the lake, but on this particular day something very amazing happened. Multitude of Pelicans (babies too) filled the lake. I rarely see a Pelican on this particular lake; but there were so many, I couldn't believe my eyes!! I enjoyed watching them throughout the day- I think they were looking for a place to have a quiet family day. The pelicans were just kind of floating around relaxing. Some were sleeping, some were cleaning themselves, while others were just keeping the other birds away. I love when you can walk out your back door and see beautiful wildlife, and to end the day a magnificent sunset reflecting on the water.
