For our Senior Project, we were required to design 3 commercial spaces including Healthcare, Restaurant, and an Office. This is my Office portion.  At the top is the logo I designed for my NEXT Office space.  Below the logo are all the renderings including the reception, open office, private office, and the conference/lounge area.  

It was important for this space to address four areas of concern:
1. Collaboration
2. Employee Wellbeing
3. Brand Development
4. Real-estate Optimization

Inspired by the lightbulb and arrow, the new design of the space allows for employees to keep moving forward by promoting collaboration to create new and innovative products. The rawness and curved lines of a lightbulb is reflected throughout the entire design by using exposed brick walls, concrete flooring, exposed ceiling elements, and organic shapes of furniture. All furniture selected is meant to meet the goals of NEXT by providing good ergonomics, optimizing their small space, and accomodating all varities of worker styles. The overall design of this space gives NEXT a space to become innovative by focusing on collaboration, wellbeing, and variety.

 

For the renderings I used a combination of Sketchup, Maxwell Render, and Photoshop. The floor plan was done using AutoCAD. All items in my space were actual products - see specifications at bottom. For this space, we were required to dedicate a certain percentage of the space using Steelcase products.
