Started of the design of my 2016 f1 car the Dali SD016. In this project i'm going to improve my 3d modeling. A big change so far are the smaller and smoother rear end of the car. The nose will remain the same as last year only a few changes will be made there. Enjoy this project!
Did some work on the body of the car. I also tried to model a better diffusor than the one on the SD015
Close up on the side pods. Made a little change to the diffuser to.
Some tires are added and i've done some small changes on the floor
I've tried to make the frontwheel look as real as possible. The frontwheel has a blown wheelnut.
Rear rims added and i've done some very small changes to the nose but its almost invisible.
Started on the frontwing. The one of last year was a downloaded one. For this year i've decided to try to make a complex frontwing. This is the result so far. I still need to add 2 flaps and some aero bits. The wing wont produce much downforce since i do this just for fun and just for the looks. The aerofoils aren't good either.
Extra flaps added. I think i'll leave the wing like it is for now.
Temporary rear wing added, it will change for sure
Gearbox ans exhaust added.
Changed the position of the exhaust because it was placed to low. You can see i needed to change the rear of the car completely
Improved rear wing and changes to the rear of the bodywork. Next up will be the suspension.
Front suspension comming along and i've made some changes to the front and rear wing
Rear suspension added. I still need to make some holes for the wishbones
New front wing added.
