WIP: DIY carbon frame paint.

Not too long ago, I've bought a carbon road bike frame. After using it for a while and suffering some chips and minor scratches, I decided it was time to give it a proper paint job. The color scheme on the Niner RLT 9 really got me inspired. I've decided to add some text to it, tribute to my italian ancestorship. Heck, it's a DIY custom made project.
Since it was the first time I've sprayed something, it didn't quite go smoothly as I thought. I had to retouch the white base over 10 times due to over sanding, drips and the frame falling from it's hooks.

The layouts I've sent to be cut on vinyl to use as masks.
Ornella was assisting me on the masking up.
Second layer: turquoise. After failing so many times with the white layer, turquoise was quite easy.
Unfortunatelly, the masking tape I was advised to use gave a lawsy finish. Right now I'm on the process of fixing some areas that are too rough. Probably a friend of mine will pinstripe a fine line of turquoise over the border. Then I can spray the red stripes and hopefully clearcoat everything.
