Lunar Rover Final Model

The model the project geometry was based off of. Starting with a CAD model allowed for accelerated construction.
 
The outer bodies of the legs were constructed from laser cut acrylic, because each piece needed specific bevel angles ground in order for the pieces to fit together seamlessly on the final model. The angles were made with a disk sander and an angle gauge.
The body of the legs were made from rounded wood blocks sandwiched by laser cut treads.
The 38 wheels (4 per side) were made by machining an original in renshape on a rotary table, which was then casted and molded repeatedly.
The center body of the rover was built from many pieces of renshape molded together with Bondo
