GQ (formerly Gentlemen's Quarterly) is an international monthly men's magazine based in New York City. The publication focuses on fashion, style, and culture for men, through articles on food, movies, fitness, sex, music, travel, sports, technology, and books.
This project was an in- class exercise to recreate the magazine based on the trends, layouts and design language of the original. The challenge was to understand the design process of the magazine.I was closely involved in the Photography, Layouting and Copy- Writing process. The theme chosen was : Men in White and the trend followed was white as GQ has never done a full edition on white. This was also an attempt to break the stereotype about men dressing in white. The magazine was a special edition based on the U.S. version and was mocked up for educational purposes only.
