Poster design to advertise an exhibition of contemporary stage set designs. The brief involved constructing a 3D model based around the main themes of Metropolis and its overall tone.

 

The robot Maria (the mask) is a main focus in the film, which is why the poster focuses on her face and is much larger than the small workers, to represent inequality in society. The film shows a bright, modern feel in the city, and dark colours are used for under the city. The tone is reflected through the lighting in the photograph.
