I wanted to avoid going for an actual orange on the cover, give how common an occurence this is. Instead, I focused on one of the less ackwoledged themes within the book; milk. The way the main character sees milk is similar to his outlook on life; as a rebel he sees it as an ingredient to mix with drink and drugs, completely unlike the pure liquid the adults - and later on, Alex himself see it as. Also referenced is the infamous torture scenes where Alex is brainwashed into conforming or, rather, wiped clean into a blank canvas. Much like the white of the milk pouring into his open head
