Impossible Bottle

The Mortuary Makeup Artist is focused on the inevitability of death. Claudia Emerson expresses her feelings of denial that she will soon die. She knows that she will soon have to meet a mortuary makeup artist through death when their paths intersect. However this is hard to her to accept, comparing it to a copper lozenge that is difficult to swallow. So she copes by protecting this vulnerable part of her even though it screams out to the rest of the world.
Furniture
Left: Customized furniture with copper finish.
Right: Pyramid, chair designed by Karim Rashid and manufactured by Nienkämper in a copper finish.

Materials include brushed copper for furnishing, Calacutta marble for flooring and walls, and concrete for walls and interior structure.
From the north elevation of the room, the visibility of the interior is very low, creating a boundary from the outside while still maintaining an open plan.

From the southeast corner of the room, the presenter has a full view of the entire space.

The ceiling is angled outward from the area of recitation to amplify the presenter’s voice since they cannot easily be seen.
