I decided to make the theme for my silhouette based on travel.I wanted the picture to primarily display photographs of places I have traveled to but also show the importance of family in my life. My choice for the background was a picture taken on a ski lift overlooking the Swiss Mountains. I chose this picture because it was simple and it would not draw attention away from the photos inside the silhouette; at the same time it provided a background with a lot of depth.This picture was originally blue but because I wanted a contrast to my silhouette which was also filled blue pictures, I made the background black and white.
The only picture in my silhouette that does not have a stroke is the picture with a view out of an airplane.The reason for this is that this photo was not of a particular destination like the rest of the pictures. Because I wanted to incorporate the importance of family, I included a picture with my dad and I standing in front of the grand canyon. I chose this photo because I felt like it conveyed the message of family as well as that of travel. The rest of the photos focus on particular sites that I have scene as I have traveled.
