There’s no doubt that character of a person has a profoundeffect in the future. What we must remember, however, is not merely howpowerful characters are in influencing destiny, but how powerful it is inshaping character, and therefore, destiny. Basically this project I’m making isabout series of illustrations to encourage positive character traits. Inbuilding character, there’s one philosopher famous of his philosophy andteachings of humanism and morality. That person is Confucius. His teachingmainly focuses on cultivation of virtue and maintenance of ethics and all ofhis basic teachings can be summarized in 5 virtues; benevolence, respect,righteousness, justice and loyalty. Benevolence,in terms of sympathy for others can be considered as kindness or to make itmuch easier to understand to children, charity. In Confucian ideals, filialpiety is a virtue of respect to anybody older and ancestors, taking care ofthem and engages good conduct towards them. Among his teachings, Confuciusemphasize righteousness as ability to distinguish between right and wrong butas children, they might not know which is right or wrong so the illustration istagged with quote “there’s nothing wrong with mistakes as long as you know it’sa mistake”. Justice teaches to do the right thing and not going against therules. Lastly, loyalty which is usually considered one of the greater humanvirtues.
It is believed that people can absorb more whenlearning in early age, also whatever they learn in that period may stick intotheir mind for long. So this program is meant to be taught to children whostart to understand things which are approximately children around 6 to 12 yearold elementary student. As the target audience is elementary student, thepublisher or organizer of this children programme should be some associationrelated to children care so Children Society would totally fit. The 5 postersare to be pasted on each classroom’s wall, so more people can notice it.

The targetted audience, children usually need engaging activity in order to attract their attention and absorb infromation, thus, 5 papercrafts are made with 5 characters from each morale.
