Following Microsoft's Xbox 360, the video game industry has been rife with speculation over the follow-up console.  The 360 was released in 2005, it is now 2012 and there has been no official announcement over a new console.  The original Xbox was released in 2001, four years previous to the 360, while the wait for the follow up to the 360 is still seven years and counting.

I decided to design a viral poster that would be intended to gather anticipation about the arrival of a potential 'Xbox 720'.  I chose to emulate a natural progression for the brand, following on from the 360 house branding.

The triangular shape and colour progression is to let the consumer 'Jump In' to the idea of the Xbox 720 and to immerse themselves.  Triangles never seem to go out of fashion, and I think lend themselves to the Xbox branding very well.  The green colour is as aforementioned similar to that of 360 branding, a bit more subtle than the bold green of the original Xbox.
