Steinway & Sons asked us to redesign their streaming music service with with all new designs, ux/ui, and functionality. This latest release would be completely responsive and intuitive for subcribers to use and visitors to want to learn more. Our designers handled the UI and layout, while certain UX challenges were assigned to me.
Mobile Journeys
One of the first functionality challenges was interacting with a track on a mobile device. Stewnway needed a way for users to add movements to a playlist, find out more about the work, or delete the item from a playlist. We opted for a solution similar to most mobile email clients that featured a hidden panel that appears on slide. The below user journeys indicate how both visitors and members would interact with a specific work.
