Research: Remember to be Happy

 What will you remember?
A behavioral intervention to bring awareness of the present and decisions we make for our future.

CONTEXT
Behavior apps, widgets and online tools exisit to help shape behavior and build habits through reminders.

OPPORTUNITY
Our physical environment can be altered to change how we act, react and plan for our future.

RESEARCH
Applications for behavior modification as well as texts were reviewed.

METHODOLOGY
Initial testing included volunteers for this as a single activity.

RESULTS
The activity was incorporated into a short text titled Happiness, that is a part of the our Future memories: Book Set.

EVALUATION
Participants documented their experiences in journals and were interviewed.

CONCLUSIONS
Creating awareness is far easier then adapting long term behavior.

RECOMMENDATIONS
Incorporating systems for awareness can be integrated into physical spaces and within common daily objects. For applications these should be designed for staged use to encourage long term use.
