Chicago Escape Routes
"Chicago Escape Routes" is a comical play on the segregation that occurred in Chicago due to the creation of the expressways (the Kennedy, Edens, Dan Ryan, Stevenson, and Eisenhower). The creation of the expressways led to millions of Chicago residents relocating to the surrounding suburbs. Part educational, part satirical, this poster takes Chicago's rich, diverse history and says what no one really wants to.
The illustrations were hand-drawn then scanned and colored using Photoshop. The layout was designed in InDesign.
